How many testers do I need for Google Play closed testing in 2026?
Google requires 12 testers opted in for 14 consecutive days before you can request production access. This applies to every app published from a personal Play Console account created on or after November 13, 2023. Google reduced this from the original 20-tester requirement in December 2024.
How long does Google Play closed testing take?

Which Google Play developer accounts need to pass closed testing?
The requirement applies to personal Play Console accounts created on or after November 13, 2023. Organization (business) accounts and personal accounts created before that date are currently exempt, but every new app on an affected account needs its own closed test.
